Waste collection in municipalities 4, 7, 8, 9 and 10 will take place in an environmentally friendly manner, with Busigroup solutions on electric or CNG vehicles, for the well-being of citizens
Impresa Sangalli - for more than 60 years one of Italy's leading private waste collection companies operating in cities such as Monza, Varese, Sesto San Giovanni and all over Italy - has been tendered the door-to-door waste collection service for non-domestic users in 5 municipalities of the City of Rome.
The tender won includes the door-to-door waste collection service for non-domestic users in Rome's municipalities 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, where a total of over 1 million citizens live. Sangalli has chosen Busigroup, now a trusted supplier of the environmental services company, as a partner, and OMB Technology branded solutions, specialised in urban waste collection services: the supply includes the delivery of more than 130 new vehicles, divided between small agile and ecological solutions suitable for door-to-door collection in the narrow streets of the Capital, and large rammers that can be used both for direct collection and to play the role of mother vehicle, as a collector vehicle for waste collected by satellite vehicles.
The order for the vehicles equipped with Viper 5 tanks on an E-Daily 42S14E electric chassis is certainly the largest order for electric refuse collection vehicles ever placed in Italy.
The delivery of the new vehicles is already underway and the entire supply will be delivered by the first quarter of 2024. Also in anticipation of the Jubilee 2025, Sangalli is committed to completing the upgrading of waste collection in the main Roman municipalities under its responsibility.
All the vehicles supplied are also equipped with the integrated load cell weighing system, which allows the weight of the waste collected to be known precisely, and with satellite tracking systems for routes and activities.
